Two Goldsboro men now are now charged with Attempted Murder after allegedly shooting at a man police say they were trying to rob.
Dajoun Hargis, 20, of Bizzell Court and Deandre Pope, 20, of Juniper Street are also charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Police say Michael Knowles posted an item for sale on the Internet. He came to Goldsboro to meet with two men at H.V. Brown Park. During the sales transaction one of the subjects tried to take Knowles’ wallet and cell phone. Knowles was told he would be killed if he did not give up his stuff. As Knowles tried to back his vehicle up and get away, one of the culprits fired a gun. A bullet struck the windshield on the driver’s side. The suspects were located after foot chase.

Hargis and Pope were taken to the Wayne County Jail where secured bond for Hargis was set at $500,000. Bond for Pope was set at $750,000.
