There are new illegal-drug charges against a Goldsboro man apprehended by local authorities who say the offender was also a wanted man in a number of other crimes.
Davin Jae McCarty, 27, of Morgan Trace Lane, Goldsboro is charged with Possession of Cocaine; Simple Possession of Marijuana; Resist, Delay, Obstruction of an Officer; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Authorities say after a traffic stop Saturday they found the suspect in possession of the illegal drugs and other contraband. Law enforcement officials noted McCarty was also charged with other Chapter 20 violations and had seven outstanding Orders for Arrest.
McCarty was taken to the Wayne County Detention Center where secured bond was set at $35,000.
