A Dudley man authorities believe shot a mother and her daughter is now out of the hospital and in jail charged with two counts of Attempted Murder.

Danielle Duboris Vann, 35, was arrested and is being held in the Wayne County Jail with secured bond at $1,000,000.

Authorities say the shooting happened August 29 in a white single-wide mobile home at 105 Carraway Creek Drive in Dudley. When authorities got there they found Vann outside the residence shot in the leg. Two female victims, Valencia Hussey, 31, and her mother Isephine Lofton Garner, 66, were both found inside the house. Hussey had been shot in the chest. Garner had been shot in the neck.

Investigators determined from information gathered during interviews that Hussey left the trailer to stay somewhere else the night before because of an incident and returned the next day with her mother to pick up personal belongings. When they walked in the house, Vann walked out of the house and returned with a firearm and confronted the two females. Vann then allegedly shot them.

Law enforcement officials believe Vann then shot himself in the leg to suggest it was a robbery that initially led to the incident which authorities later labeled as domestic related.
