About $2,000 worth of heroin is now off the streets after agents with the Wayne County Drug Squad recently foiled a drug deal.
Tory Myelle Thompson, 41, of South Slocumb Street was arrested and charged with one count each of Possession With Intent To Sell and Deliver Heroin and Possession of Marijuana.
He was taken to the Wayne County Jail where secured bond was set at $3,000.
Agents say they saw Thompson trying to make the drug deal on Dail Street in Goldsboro. Authorities then found about 82 individual bags of heroin. Law enforcement officials point out each bag contained more than the average street dosage.
