A man accused of trying to pass a stolen check at a local bank is now in custody of Goldsboro Police.
Alexander Lee Peacock, 27, of Chaffin Place, Goldsboro is charged with a number of felonies including Larceny of Choice in Action, Forgery of an Instrument and Uttering a Forged Instrument.
When officers arrived at the BB&T on Ash Street they found out a checkbook had been stolen and several checks had been written at a number of local businesses.
