Goldsboro Family Dollar Robbed, 3 Arrested

Three people are in custody after being arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a Goldsboro Family Dollar.

Monday around 10:00 p.m. a police officer was doing an area check and spotted the armed robbery in progress at the Family Dollar on Wayne Memorial Drive.

Two suspects fled the rear of the business and ran towards Sixth Street as the officer was notifying other units.

The officer then observed a vehicle leaving Sixth Street at a high rate of speed and followed in pursuit. The vehicle pursuit lead to the Jefferson Court area of the city where two occupants jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot, while the driver and vehicle sped away.

Law enforcement then stopped the vehicle in the 500 block of Quail Drive and took the driver into custody. A perimeter was set up by GPD units

Corporal Jason Sasser and his K-9 partner “Shorty” successfully tracked the two remaining suspects to the backyard at 102 Quail Drive where both were taken into custody without incident.

Arrested and charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon were: O’Brien Shaquille Hooker B/M 24 Years of Age, from 500 Blk of Bright Street in Kinston; and, Devon Dejatorian Waters B/M 36 years of age, from Windsor Creek Parkway, Goldsboro.

Hooker and Waters were also charged with 2nd Degree Kidnapping, Discharging a Firearm into Enclosure, and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Charged with Aid and Abet Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Felony Flee to Elude was Terry Watson B/M 30 years of age, from Claybrook Drive in Goldsboro.
